5 out of 5 stars Great, but needs a little studying   August 13, 2008

I bought one of these toasters locally as they where reduced to half price, my old toaster was needing retiring as it was burning even on the lowest settings,

The Kenwood was the best toaster I could buy for my money. First couple of days with there being a few buttons on the front I could not get my toast to brown,, then I realised, those buttons,, one was for defrosting, the other was for reheat, the key to getting perfect toast from your Kenwood is just put the dial to the setting you want and then simply press down the black button(s) for 2 or 4 slices if required.

Besides toasting bread, I have successfully toasted bagles, crumpets and bread-cakes. The more I have used my new toaster the happier I am with it. It toasts brilliantly. With this toaster it is a case of learning the individual buttons and then you are going to be making perfect toast!

Get that jam, marmalade, honey or what ever your favourite spread is and get toasting and most of all! ENJOY.....

I got the toaster because massive 50% off reduction and it works perfect, get one before gone and not all reviews are correct, the problem will be you won't stop eating some much toasts with butter & marmalade:)

We had this given to us at christmas. It is a great looking toaster, unfortunately it takes a very long time to brown, even without the bread being frozen. Plus when you got one side done the way you like, the other side was either burnt or not done. Shame

This toaster is honestly the worst toaster i've ever had.

Toasting takes an age, The filaments dont glow fully. One side of the filament glows, the other doesnt. it is extremely poor quality.

I only googled this review because i was looking for Kenwoods telephone number to try and send it back. It was a gift for christmas. And im afraid i'll be off to tesco's for a basic Hinari that works fine.

Got given this toaster as a xmas present. Firstly, it is quite large, but the main problem is it doesn't seem to like doing only one slice of bread. I put 3 slices of fresh bread in it, two were 'ok' but the 3rd slice was slightly brown on one side but not done on other. Also have to turn it up quite high. When I put a pop tart in it, it just burnt the top edge, and nothing else was browned, had to finish it off under the grill. I plan to give this toaster away and buy a different one.
