Nice toast and looks good November 27, 2009 Spikey Boy (Wales, UK) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Well, I must be lucky but I can't fault this toaster at the moment. Had it about a month now and it fits very nicely being obviously larger than my two slice Prestige was but its a four slice toaster. It certainly isn't as big as some of the monster four slice ones I've seen.
Toast comes out nice and crisp on both sides, the variable browning is easy to manage and I don't find it takes that long to produce the toast. I also haven't noticed the outside being particularly hot but then again I don't try and pick up my toaster by the outsides after cooking toast.
It looks good too, sitting in a corner under the cupboards I get quite a nice reflection of light off the top and onto my tiles.
I rate it.
Good Piece of Kit November 16, 2009 Alan Dyson (by the Channel Tunnel) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A good-looking toaster which does its job very well. (An initial smell was a bit alarming but disappeared completely after a few cycles.) We're not fans of glossy or chromed steel, but here the shiny and brushed finishes combine very nicely with a little black plastic, and the toaster has the butch looks of one 2-3 times the price. It's fairly bulky, but the square shape, with controls ergonomically placed all on one side, can fit into a limited workspace better than a longer, narrower one. The sides do get hot but not so much that accidental contact would give any grief. Toasting is even and quick. We're well pleased.
At last a great toaster January 29, 2010 Mr. Graham F. Page (London UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a toaster that did the width, height of toast without shuffling slices around. Read all the reviews and found generally this fitted the bill by consensus.
Amazing Amazon came up with the BEST Buy on the whole search system.

philips hd2648/20 four slice toaster January 30, 2010 S. Birnbacher (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The toaster was selected because of it's price being below £30 for a four slice, and the power rating of 1800w which makes it capable of quick brown slices. We have had no problems with this toaster and it appears to everything as advertised, although i would not recommend for very wide sliced bread as slot capacity is not to great. But this is a balance of what size toaster you want on your kitchen top, Overall i rate this a very good toaster, with lots of functions.
Fantastic Toaster April 1, 2010 K. Wilks 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The toaster is stylist. It is wide enough to cope with the thickest slices and the controls allow the bread to be raised well above the heating elements. I've owned the toaster for about a month and i have not found a fault so far.
