Quality enjoyed long after the price is (almost) forgotten! November 9, 2004 Mr. R. Lee-van Den Daele (Shipley, England.) 35 out of 36 found this review helpful
If you are thinking of buying this toaster, you will no doubt be doing a deal of soul-searching as I did. You'll canvass opinions, seek out on-line reviews and generally find ways of justifying what does seem an awful lot of money on a toaster! Well, je ne regrette rien! The build quality is superb and you know from the feel that you will have years of trouble-free service from this little beauty. It has the quality feel you would expect and it blows inferior brands clean out of the water. It's like the difference between driving a clapped-out Ford Fiesta and taking the wheel in a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. Supremely easy to use, there are no pop-up gimmicks, no snarled-up pieces of toast sliced too generously to fit in the slot and you cannot begin to put a price on the smug expression you'll adopt when making your breakfast! As for the toast, well fruited teacakes are our weakness and they come out well-browned on the 2 minute setting with the inside light and fluffy, not all dried-out and semi cremated as with this machine's predecessor. Grit your teeth, pay the money, and enjoy the Rolls Royce of the toaster world! You'll not regret it.
Dualit 31213 3 Slice Combi Polished Stainless Steel Toaster January 28, 2004 26 out of 28 found this review helpful
Wonderfully stylish and yet simplicity itself is a virtue that Dualit have captured so well. With the onset of computers it is nice to have a no fuss toaster, especially first thing in the morning when your brain is a little sluggish. The toast stays warm in the body of the taoster once the timer is switched off, so there is no need to run and butter it. One draw back is the size. If you have limited space, check the dimensions. Amazon beat all other websites on price and speed of delivery. Ours arrived in 4 days!!

An Ode to Toast(iness). January 17, 2006 Jonty H Campbell (Manchester, England.) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Wow. This toaster is so over engineered, gorgeous, sublimely simple, effective and wonderful at doing one job supremely well it's almost Pornographic. Gadget Porn! Toaster Porn! Mmmmm! (Munch munch yum yum) I just bought one of these 3 slot ones, and although I'm quickly running out of superlatives to heap upon this wondrous machine of crispy toast making morning worship from coast to coast, truly worthy of the Washington Post! This is a rare case of an appliance that you will pass on to your grandchildren. No more "stripy" cooked bread from lesser glorified bar fires! Just a pity Dualit don't seem to take the same no-nonsense approach to design in thier other products, many of which have markedly mixed reviews. Oh yes, and this toaster will, to a reasonable degree serve your toast when YOUR ready, not when it is ready...
Just what you would expect January 5, 2005 Duke (Dublin, Ireland) 6 out of 11 found this review helpful
As you would expect from a toaster that costs as much as this, it cooks toast, bagels and toasted sandwiches to perfection. We bought ours as a luxury item for our new house and we are very happy with our decision.Don't be fooled, this toaster only toasts bread etc, so if you want more for your money then get a Morphy Richards toaster, if you want style then buy this toaster and enjoy
