I never seem to be happy with my toasters - I've tried loads - Morphy Richards, Delonghi, Tefal, etc, etc - they all seem to have had various problems from uneven toasting to sending the toast flying across the kitchen.
This toaster is solid - seriously heavy and it looks lovely - you won't be putting it away in your cupboards for practical and aesthetic reasons! Plus if you are spending this much on a toaster you want to flaunt it!
It toasts evenly, no flying toast as you use to lever to lift and drop the bread. A little buzzer goes off when the toast is done.
If only KitchenAid made a kettle as well!
