I know .... it's the price.

Can l really justify paying this sort of money for a toaster you are asking yourself ...yes a toaster.

Well l have to say the answer is most definatley ... yes, yes, yes.

I would highly recommend this toaster and it comes in many colours to suit your needs, but make sure that you buy a dualit toaster with the small secondary dial. Some just come with the timer dial, but pay that bit more and get the one with the secondary dial. This means that you can then toast, 1,2 or 4 pieces of toast.
To toast you select the number of pieces of toast on the small dial and then turn the larger dial to start toasting. You get to know what number to turn the dial to after a couple of uses. Just remember if you are doing lots of toasting the amount you turn the dial will need to be reduced as the toaster is warmer and cooks quicker.
It does ding and it does not launch your toast onto the floor..it just toasts and sits their. A simple lever device raises the toast for extraction. I find that the toast is just lovely, it doesn't dry it out..it's just right. Whether white or brown or granary. But some of the larger loaves of bread (Warburtons) are a fraction to big for the toaster, leaving half an inch of untoasted bread, but just turn the toast part way.

It cleans well, has a crumb tray underneath and looks good and sturdy. My toaster came with two additional cages for crumpets etc.
