The toaster looks very nice but unfortunately the bread does not fit in the slot. As a result you have to cook it for a while and then take the bread out and turn it round so that the raw edge cooks.
I have tried different bread but the only one that fits is the cheaper loaves and then the toast is too hard and breaks up when you try to butter it.

We've had this toaster for a year and having previously had one with a bun warmer I really missed the lack of this feature, especially as you cannot just put anything on top due to the sloped design. The slots are reasonably wide, but toast unevenly, getting worse with age. You cannot fit large slices of bread in and generally I pretty much hated it from the start, but having bought it, I thought I needed to get som use out of it before replacing it. That'll teach me for buying a prodct simply based on the 'look'. It's not completely useless, the reheat function works pretty well, hence 2 stars...
