3 out of 5 stars nice looking kettle   March 18, 2006

We bought this to go with a cream 2-slot Dualit toaster as they were on offer as a pair. The toaster is the business - simple, beautifully retro, sturdy and a pleasure to use.

Can't rave about the kettle - its main pluses are that it matches the toaster, is cute looking and has a nice big handle. It works absolutely fine, does the job, boils water. Gripes are that the spout is small, a bit tinny and not easy (though possible with patience) to fill from the tap. The instructions say you should not fill it via the spout anyway. This means your other option is to remove the lid before filling - which is not as easy as just sticking the spout under the tap and using the other hand to turn the tap on and off which was perfectly possible with our previous kettle. The lid is very firmly clipped on, so when you do manage to pull it off it inevitably throws a few drops of water over you or whatever else happens to be nearby - not a major problem, just a bit annoying.

Can't comment on longevity as have only had it for a couple of months.
