Le'Xpress Coloured Whistling Kettle May 21, 2009 Robcare (Nottinghamshire UK) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Bought kettle to co-ordinate with my kitchen which is chilli red, pleased with fast delivery and quality of finish of the the kettle. The kettle is a nice weight and non stick inside to inhibit limescale. A 1 excelent product and supplier
Well designed hob kettle January 14, 2010 Michael Lavocah (Norwich, England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a well designed kettle even if it lacks the ravishing looks of the Le Creuset Kone Kettlee. The wide base means that it heats well, but unlike the Le Creuset Kone the spout is far from the base which means it does not overheat and thus does not spit when pouring. The whistle flips us which is much more convenient than a removable whistle. Inside it is non stick which will inhibit limescale, although I wonder what it might mean for the kettle's life.
Unlike another reviewer I don't think it's particularly heavy when empty. This kettle works very well and is good value for money - if it just attracted my eye a little more I'd give it five stars
fast boiler January 4, 2010 Alma Romero-toledo (St Albans) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Boils rapidly and pours nicely. Lid is a bit tough to get off if you want to fill the kettle without doing it through the spout, thought i was about to pull the top off but so far it has stayed on!
Whistle is ok. You have to be a bit careful when opening spout to pour out water as it flicks up quite sharply and an occasional hot drip of water flips up with it, but all in all a great kettle! Holds a good amount of water and is sturdy even though handle may feel a bit flimsy.Good value for money.
Fast boiler! May 29, 2010 Macey (SW England) I received my Le'Xpress kettle in quick time from Amazon, so thanks for that. I am very pleased with the kettle. The wide base means that it boils quickly and is what it states in the title - 'coloured' and 'whistling'! My only comment is that the handle flexes slightly on lifting (obviously this depends on the amount of water) and is a little awkward in pouring, but if you like the speed, whistling and the colour, this one is for you.
Ok as a spare kettle October 7, 2009 J. Thursby (King's Lynn, Norfolk, England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Whilst the style and colour of this whistling kettle are very stylish, it is rather heavy when empty and therefore even heavier with water in it (and I've only used it with max. three mugs' worth of water). This, in turn, makes it difficult to lift and pour. As I bought it for use on my gas hob in the event of a power cut or when my electric kettle breaks down, it won't be used every day but is fine for a back-up kettle, if needed.
