The Delonghi Icona Jug Kettle is beautifully crafted and looks stunning. I always thought scarlet was an orangey-red, but the kettle is a darker red - probably crimson.
On the downside, the kettle is a little noisy and quite slow to boil.
Overall, this is a very stylish kettle and I can definitely live with the con's. I'm now waiting for the matching toaster to come into stock.

While I agree with the reviewer who said that this kettle is noisy and slow to boil, it is a lovely looking addition to your kitchen. Perhaps it does not feel as expensive as it is, but we are still very fond of ours. We have the matching toaster which is also pretty good.

Pictures of this scarlet kettle in magazines, websites etc give it a high class, quality look. But in the flesh its a different story:- Poor quality plastics, a lid that doesn't want to come off, it wobbles about on its plastic stand even when full with water, rather noisey, not that quick to boil. Needless to say, it was sent back to its supplier.
