Have to disagree with everyone here.
Maybe I have the only one that doesnt leak?! No problems at all with this kettle. Yes the gauge takes a while to register, but thats because of the shape of the kettle, it has considerably more volume lower down, so it takes about half a litre of water from empty before the gauge comes in to play, once you learn this it causes no problems.
The lid has never stuck and the moulding quality seems pretty good,but
I suppose their quality control must be lacking big time for so many to be faulty.
Hopefully the one I have keeps going as design wise its a good looking item, filling the gap between clinical Porsche design Siemens kettle and the everday moulded blobs. One thing Ive never used is the keep warm button, intended to keep the water hot, cant quite figure out when you would use this, unless youre planning a tea drinking marathon? 4 stars based on the one I bought!

chose this kettle two years ago along with the matching toaster (and coffee maker) and was totally thrilled with them all, they all look very stylish and I thought this to be the sexiest kettle I've ever owned! However, the toaster gave up the ghost fairly quickly (one of the heating elements stopped working and so it just toasted one side at a time). The kettle has been fab for two years but it recently started leaking (as described in most of the other reviews). I am incredibly disappointed as it's quite difficult to find a kettle that is both aesthetic AND works well. I was going to order another but seeing as this has been rated so poorly by so many other users (and the leaking is so common) I'm on the hunt for something different.

I too have this Kettle and the same problem as many others! Looks fab and worked great until recently.I've owned it nearly 2 yrs and have had no problems,until it started leaking at the bottom.I'm was looking for another the same thinking mine was a one off,but reviews have changed my mind.

This kettle looks great but I soon found the top opening was pretty narrow and the catch on the lid would stick every now and again so it would not close. I would have to push it across manually to close it. The kettle is really noisy as it boils and it now leaks so needs replacing. It was a gift from my mother so I did not read any reviews on it but had I done I would certainly not have purchased it because everything people are writing about it is true!

Beautiful design-have bought three-(stupidly)all of which have leaked!! Now have the expense of replacing buckled worktop. Should have read reviews!! Buy this kettle at your peril.
