An excellent kettle December 15, 2006 Butterfly (Nottingham, UK) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought this kettle recently and I love it. It does everything it says - it's very fast, light and easy to pour. It also has the best lid I've ever seen on a kettle!
Wonderful kettle! October 13, 2008 J. MCCULLOCH (England) I bought this kettle a few years ago and it has been working great. It does not leak and it is very light and easy to use and easy to fill. I do not have to empty it after each use like the other customer commented and have been fortunate not to have any problems regarding the water leaking. I was looking to buy a new expensive kettle but after reading the bad comments on most of them i decided to keep this one and save my money!
Drip ...Drip...Drip November 2, 2008 A. Nair (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This kettle has started to leak...no surprise there ....judging from the comments!! However, this seems to be a known problem and Moulinex still seems to be selling this particular model !!!! It was a really good kettle before it started to leak though!!! Lasted just over a year. Perfect operating model for Moulinex in this crunch times. Make a good kettle that will survive the guarantee period and force people to buy another....I think this is what most of the companies are following as almost all new kettles seem to last just over a year and then they all start to leak !!!!
Leaks after 19 months April 27, 2008 Mark Twain (Merseyside) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had a nice Philips kettle, but after 3 years the switch-off stopped working. Had an interim kettle (forget brand); the handle broke. I get this one. I liked its low key look, its nice water window, its fast boil. It was ok to handle. Then (and I see here I'm not alone), a leak springs. Puddles on worktops. Drips off worktops. Annoying! Can't anyone make a kettle that lasts?
This leaked badly February 11, 2008 D. Macconnell (Scotland) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This kettle began leaking after 2 months. I noted that in the instructions it says to empty after each use. If I'd known that beforehand i would not have bought it - it's ridiculous boiling water then emptying what is left unused. I forgot to do this one morning and the worktop was covered with water when I got home. I think that not mentioning the "after each use" condition up front is deceitful and I will never buy a Moulinex product again.
