Product Description 1.7L durable, stainless-steel kettle with concealed heating element, 360 rotational base, removable scale filter, 3-level safety system and clear water-level indication windows. This elegant and durable stainless-steel High Gloss Metal Jug boils water quickly. The safety system turns the power off once the water has boiled, if the kettle is accidentally switched on when empty, or in the case of a short circuit. The removable and washable scale filter ensures hot beverages that are free of any scale particles. The concealed heating element heats evenly, fast and efficiently. The element surface is completely flat, making it easy to clean. Please Note: All electrical products sold by cookinstyle (InStyle Products Limited) are supplied with a UK 3 pin plug.

Philips Kettle July 12, 2007 Binka 43 out of 43 found this review helpful
Bought this recently and am really pleased with it. It looks good and boils water quickly which are the main points covered. It has a wide spout so easy to fill without having to bother popping the lid up, although this is easy to do if you wish. Seems to be of good quality, no flimsy bits, etc. The "level fill" window is easy to view. Its nicely balanced when you pick it up which some kettles aren't. Has a concealed element so should be easy to descale. Also comes in a matt finish style although when I bought mine the shiney version was a bit cheaper.

Excellent product! Boils quickly, easy to fill up, good to hold and pour from, and looks good. I am delighted with it.
Excellent December 7, 2007 William Wallace (Scotland) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
The kettle boils very quickly, looks great, has large spout for filling and I don't find it that noisy compared with other kettles I have owned. Would recommend the kettle as it's probably the best one I've owned.
No disappointments January 23, 2008 SjB (England) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I purchased this model kettle on the strength of over 30 years of satisfaction with Philips products supplemented by existing reviews. I haven't been disappointed. There is only one thing to mention that I can't see reviewed already; this is the first kettle I've owned that when you tip it up to empty, it really empties, completely, first time. There's no ledge to trap water and require multiple tip-ups and tip-backs.
Best Kettle March 11, 2008 Mugwumps59 (United Kingdom) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I am well impressed with this kettle, I have not been having a lot of luck with kettles so before I bought another one I checked out all of the reviews on Amazon and this one seemed the best liked. It is nice to look at and boils very quietly, you can empty it right out without any difficulty. I am very pleased with this kettle and the price is affordable.
