Best contact grill so far December 30, 2007 R. H. Fyffe (UK) 85 out of 85 found this review helpful
This is my fourth contact grill and the best of the lot. I have always loved the concept and taste of fat reduced food but the cleaning of the others was a real chore and eventually they became unhygienic in my opinion so were binned. This one has completely removable plates which just pop into the dishwasher for full cleaning. Additionally the cooking is completely controllable which allows you to cook different foods with ease. To sum it up, a great product.
Well worth the extra cash. October 22, 2008 Sunscreem (Aberdeen, UK) 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
This is a brilliant product. I've had 2 cheaper types before it, so when the second one finally gave up I was delighted that my girlfriend purchased this one for me. To put it into perspective - I cant use this on the highest heat setting as it is too hot!
I hate washing up - so also highly recommended for those who want to pop the plates in the dishwasher.
Excellent Grill/Griddle December 18, 2007 M. Parsons (Banbury, England) 54 out of 56 found this review helpful
A usable grill/griddle. Easy to clean. Light weight. This out strips the more popular "Lean" products in its field. I don't feel there was a need to have seperate thermostate controls for the Grill or Griddle other wise this is a excellent product and will not disappoint.
Amazing grill - perfect paninis November 25, 2008 Helen Knight (London) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This does everything you could want. Makes excellent toasted sandwiches, makes fantastic pancakes if you have it out flat as a griddle. It is wonderful to be able to put the plates into the dishwasher. The outside does get VERY hot but it is a grill, after all. Really delighted with this product.
Very Good November 9, 2009 Shrinking Violet (United Kingdom) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I had this bought as a surprise a few weeks ago and am very impressed. The machine just oozes quality - brushed stainless steel finished to a high standard, fairly weighty and round the back there are little lugs for cord winding storage. The booklet it comes with provides clear instructions + these recipes: Beef Burgers, Chicken Quesadillas, Honey Dijon Grilled Turkey Cutlet, Teriyaki Grilled Chicken & Pineapple, BLT, Grilled Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil Panini, Chicken & Vegetable Panini, Ham & Brie Panini, Grilled Bananas with Vanilla Yogurt Cream and finally Breakfast Pancakes with Maple Syrup
The machine heats up super-quick and even has a `sear' setting which is extremely hot. We used it at the weekend open in the middle of the dining table (make sure you put something heatproof underneath for protection) and had thinly sliced raw meat, prawns, fish chunks etc to cook for ourselves using wooden skewers even making some into kebabs (lovely) using a griddle plate on one side and a flat plate on the other so I could melt cheese for dips by putting chunks of cheese into small cast iron pots and sitting on the flat plate to heat through. Once the plates were up to temperature and had been on for 5mins I turned the machine off and it stayed hot enough to cook the food well and the plates were easy to change/clean. The approx size in cm CLOSED is 17H x 32W x 30D and OPEN 9.5H x 32W x 53D - the plates measure 29W x 23D. Finally, all dials and buttons are easy to manipulate.
