This unit makes perfectly boiled eggs January 17, 2008 Monz (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This egg boiler is fantastic. It cooks any number of egg's between 1 and 7. It allows you to choose between hard and soft boiled eggs. Very small and compact which helps us when storing. We recommend this unit with 5 stars for the fact its great quality and its cheaper then the other egg boilers. Have a great breakfast with some nicely boiled eggs.
Curate's Egg March 24, 2008 G. S. Davis (Holt, Norfolk, United Kingdom) This product worked well at first. However we then found that on occasions when it's not possible to fully prick through the egg shell and internal membrane the egg will crack. This results in the egg white and yolk spilling out into the water which then bubbles up and spills out between the heated base and the top cover. This leaves a nasty mess and eggs which haven't been cooked properly. When this happens the egg white bakes on to the heated base and is very difficult to remove.
Could be better August 31, 2008 Regis Bassot Agreed with G.S. Davis, the cup to prick the egg is too small, which means sometimes, the egg gets stuck or you end up breaking it. Also I have tried different settings, but I can't get good soft eggs. I presume it's practice which will make it perfect, but I was expected it perfect at the first try as the measuring cup described EXACTLY how much water you need to get how many eggs you want and how you want them.. Yes, there is a buzzer which stops the cooking but it definitely looks way too long for me (I think it's about 12minutes). I bought this product to replace the old "boiling water in the pan" system, but it looks like I have to do some (and several) testings first to get to the perfect result I was expecting when I bought this product.
