5 out of 5 stars Excellent rice cooker   December 18, 2007

An excellent addition to the Kitchen if you like your rice. Easy to use and clean. The steam option is O.K. too, not that it's used that often. A recommendation should you purchase, follow supplied cooking instructions. However, once cooked, the longer you leave on the "stay warm" setting the better the texture of the rice (Firmer). Otherwise it can be a little soggy straight after it's initial cooking phase. You will not be disappointed.

3 out of 5 stars Not very impressed   April 24, 2008

Noted what the other reviewer said. Decided to write this review as mine conked out (plastic bit underside burnt- no idea how) after only 1.5 years.
The rice is soggy immediately after and I find that its better to take the lid off so that excess moisture escapes. Don't like the keep warm function as the rice on the base gets really dried out and unedible after say, an hour onwards (could be longer). I'm a rice eater and now in the market for a really good one- Fuzzy logic if I can find it in this country.
Rice quality- didn't find it to be different from cheaper models and I've been cooking rice for many years now. So overall- it works fine but feel its not worth the money for function but definitely for looks (prettiest one around).
