Panninis, panninis and more panninis! June 10, 2006 carrieann (UK) 47 out of 47 found this review helpful
I bought the Russell Hobbs Pannini Press several months ago as I am always running out of ideas as to what to make my daughter when she comes home from work at lunchtime. This product is amazing, I have never looked back since I purchased it on Amazon. It will take all sorts of bread, panninis, feta, ordinary bread, soda bread, you name it, as long as you can fill it with something it will produce a mouth watering snack. Make sure you put the filling in the centre of the bread otherwise it will leak out as the pannini maker squashes the bread slightly when the lid goes down. I thought I would probably use this a couple of times, then put it away and forget about it for a while, but we use it at least twice a week and it give scrummy results. My only problem is that I have nowhere to store it, it is quite big, so make sure you make room for it to stand upright. Go for it, it's a fab piece of kitchen equipment, well made, sturdy and reliable.
Yum Yum January 5, 2006 Mrs J A Bartlett (Chipstead, Surrey United Kingdom) 41 out of 41 found this review helpful
I bought my husband one of these for a joke Christmas present this year (domestic appliances not being high on his list of priorities unless I am making something with them!). Of all the presents we received as a household this year, this was the most successful. We must now all weigh a little bit heavier as we are constantly full of yummy panninis. Our current favourite is cheese and marmite. Its easy to use, easy to clean, works fast and delivers delicious snacks with just about any kind of bread you can find in a supermarket. Highly recommended purchase!
great sandwich maker October 2, 2005 karen mclatchie (Ayr, Ayrshire United Kingdom) 59 out of 60 found this review helpful
this is a great sandwich press. my sister had one which i had tried, so i decided to buy one myself.you can use any bread, rolls or bagettes.the bread goes really flat which i love, and it seals the edges.make sure you put cheese in the middle or it can escape out the side.it is a lovely looking press and will fit well in any kitchen.one final thing it does tell you, do not use any metal utensil to remove your sandwiches it will scratch which i have found out. you wont be disappointed great product.
Be prepared to be surprised..... ! ! May 17, 2008 Ian Wantling 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was scepticle when my wife first asked me to buy this panini press..... Would it end up stuck at the back of a kitchen cabinet just like our toastie maker.....?? Well, after having one for over two months I'm please to report that as well as having a prominent place in our kitchen this little machine is used several times a week and always with delicious results. Our kids adore the panini sandwiches, but the machine is extremely versatile and is very low maintainence. You're able to use baguettes, ciabattas and even plain white bread to produce some really nice sandwiches. I found using gouda cheese slices give the best melted cheese type fillings and the variety of what you can make is only limited by your own imagination.... So for a refreshing change and to add a new angle of what's available for snacks in your home, I can thoroughly recommend this panini press.
Panini press is the tops June 23, 2008 P. Howell (South Yorkshire England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was a little worried that I had bought the wrong thing when I purchased the panini maker. I have a sandwich shop and had priced up the commercial panini makers (ranging from 500 to 850). But the Russell Hobbs panini press is ideal. It is space saving and serves up perfect panini's every time. I would not be without it. And the price is phenominally cheap. Well done Russell Hobbs
