EASY TO CLEAN - EASY TO USE. November 15, 2003 87 out of 91 found this review helpful
I began my search for an expensive deep fat fryer, when this fryer caught my attention. As I felt it was a manufacturer I could trust and all the parts were dishwasher proof I desided to give it a go.How glad I am!Connecting the fryer is just like plugging in a kettle and every thing can be cleaned except the electrical unit. The chips are yummy!!!!The basket cannot be raised or lowered when the lid is closed which may not suit every one and a much greater recipe selection would have been nice. Great value for your money.

So easy to clean compared with sealed units which look grubby after a while. one small gripe, when basket is raised, lid cannot be shut, but for perfect chips, whose complaining. I have even bought one for my mother and mother-in-law as well

If you are looking for a low cost EASY TO CLEAN fryer.......this is it!!! Dont let the other reviews put you off.....if you only fry occasionally - buy this one AND if you have a dishwasher......its a must......all the grubby bits can go in (which then come out sparkly). All domestic fryers are a bit difficult to fill/empty that is to be expected.....this empties okay and there's a special corner to use so it doesnt splash every where. would recommend....have had no problems with it.....TIP...if you have an extractor over your cooker....put it on the hob on a glass "WORKTOP SAVER"...95% of the smells are drawn out immediatley.
Not So Easy September 18, 2007 Mr. S. P. Davies (Wales) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This fryer does its job extremely well. Cooking chips is what its employed to do and it performs this task efficiently. However, I bought this particular fryer based on its easy clean functionality and unfortunately it is this that lets it down. Fat splashes quickly build up around the rim and prove excessively difficult to then wash off. Leave it for a couple weeks and you'll find yourself faced with a monumental cleaning task. Perhaps the task would be more easily achieved with a dishwasher which I don't own. Another gripe is the temperature control wheel WILL get greasy at some point and what was already a difficult switch to turn, leads to the entire family taking turns in futile attempts to turn the blighted thing. Also the outside decals quickly fade under cleaning. All in all i wouldn't recommend this fryer. Others will do the job more efficiently and with a greater sense of user friendliness. My advice.... LOOK ELSEWHERE.
