I found the Tefal 368217 Rice cooker to be very good for the price paid for it. I could never cook rice properly even though I love cooking and am quite competant. It has easy to follow instructions, ans all the dirty bits can go in the dishwasher-nothing complicated about this at all. I use it a lot as it can also cook pasta, vegggies, and can be used to steam things aswell. Very versatile, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

I was looking around for a while to find a rice cooker. The price was right and this rice cooker at capacity can cook for up to 13 people. Our first attempt at cooking rice for 2 people proved that it cooked quickly before I had time to finish stirfrying vegetables to accompany the dish! A couple of negative points which I noted, first was that with the rice nearly being finished, the bubbles generated by the process of cooking the rice managed to lift the lid off a couple of times and could only be alleviated by lifting the lid (despite the instructions saying not to lift the lid as it affects cookiong time). This I found does not affect the quality of the rice for it still came out perfect. Secondly, the magnetic "condensation container" which you are meant to stick on under one of the handles I found inappropriate as you have to try to balance the lid onto the condensation container in order for it to catch there and it doesn't really matter if it wasn't put on. All in all though, a big and good rice cooker, fast and ideal for cooking for one person or many. The recepies included in the instruction book are also useful. Easy to wash and very easy to use; you really don't have to worry about getting it wrong. The "keep warm" function also handy if you aren't ready to use the rice straight away.

Brilliant Product! I've just bought this piece of appliance days ago, and I've never seen and tasted the most perfect cooked rice in my entire life. It's pretty easy cooking rice to perfection. Just simply measure how many cups of rice, and add the same amount of water (measuring cup included), pop in the metal lead and turn the power on. You can leave it cooking and it will automatically turns to Keep Warm mode when the rice is cooked. Over-cooked brown rice is now thing in the past.It has a keep warm function to keep your rice warm whenever you want to eat it. Its huge 3.2 liter capacity is enough to feed 8-10 persons. The removable bowl has a non-stick coating so it's a breeze to clean. It also comes with a spatula and egg basket (for boiling eggs). The price is suitable for its quality. If there is one thing I would like to change, I think a GLASS lead is much better than the metal lead, so you can look inside what's going on without opening the lead. So if you are a rice eater, go ahead buy this amazing rice cooker and you'll have rice cooked to perfection everytime.

I bought this cooker around 7 days back and yes I am pretty impressed. It is automatic so it cooks and shuts off by itself. But you need to be careful with the water because if you put too much of it it will bubble out and spill outside and will create a mess. Also I suggest adding some oil or butter to prevent the bulidup of brown scales at its bottom. Overall a god product at this price!

We were given a rice cooker, and after just the first use I was hooked. It continues to produce perfect rice (if careful with the initial measurements of rice/water)and it allows you the freedom to simply forget the rice and concentrate on the rest of your meal. Terrific. Go for the bigger (3.2l)size, as in fact it could be even bigger for when hosting others.
