I have had Prestige Pressure cookers before but not a stainless steel one. Its a nice design, easy to use, and much quicker steam release than others I have had. Easy to clean and very smart looking. It cooks very well, I am very pleased with it

I bought this pressure cooker about a year ago and have used it nearly every day since, so far I've only needed to replace the gasket. Occasionally I take it to pieces to give it a good clean and it's really easy to do. I have no complaints about this product and I would recommend it to anyone.

We purchased this product because we installed an induction hob and our old Prestige pressure cooker was no use. We are very impressed with it. I don't know where the negative reports are coming from because there is no escape of steam from the seals. The controls are very simple to understand and to use. There is no valve which can fail and send the contents up to the ceiling. Any excess pressure escapes at back of the handle in a horizontal direction away from where your hands would be ie. to the back of the hob.

After discussions with Meyer's customer service department I was informed that one of the parts to my old pressure cooker had been discontinued. Meyer were very apologetic, but I understand their reasons. The cooker is 20 years old and I was a bit optimistic that they would honour a 10 year guarantee!
Meyer advised their new sleek Smartplus, which has a slightly larger capacity - so jam making will be that bit easier! They also advised that the lifetime guarantee on this product will indeed be honoured!
Shopping on Amazon, as ever is as easy as Pie. Delivered two days after ordering with no hitches whatsoever. Who can complain at that!

I really like this Smartplus Pressure Cooker, it is less noisy than my last one and is alot better at releasing the steam which lets you have access to your cooked food quicker. I really recommend this to anyone looking for this particular Pressure Cooker.
