Product Description Water sharpener with two ceramic wheels and plastic casing with angle guides - Our favourite sharpener for Japanese blades.Very few professionals can achieve a better working edge without taking to the whetstones.Simply follow the instructions - you don't need to worry about angles or damage to the blade, and it takes about a minute to sharpen a knife! Please note that this Minosharp is specifically for Japanese blades such as Global and shouldn't be confused with the Minosharp Universal sold by some outlets (this is better-suited to European blades which have a different blade angle).

Knife Sharpener January 3, 2008 Lizzy Sellers (North Yorkshire) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Having always used a steel to sharpen my knives I recently found out that this process removes some of the metal of the knife in the process and having just been given a Global knife, I was recommended to try a whetstone of some kind. This product has very detailed instructions on the box and is very easy to use. I was initially concerned that I had not received a "Global" branded product as the box is entitled "MinoSharp recommended for Global knives" however it appears that "MinoSharp" is a Global product according to other web sites. Definitely recommend this product.
Wonderful product January 16, 2008 A. J. Gilbert (Brighton, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Had a set of Global knives for a 'big' birthday recently and bought one of these ceramic water sharpeners after reading various reviews online. I have to say it's just fantastic - the Global knives are incredibly sharp and it's also done wonders for my old set, much better than other more expensive steel-based sharpeners I've had. Buy with confidence...
Fantastic piece of equipment June 1, 2008 lmhh (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've never been able to master sharpening knives with a steel - but now my worries are over. My knives are all razor sharp, I've been using this sharpener constantly for about a year and I have just bought replacement wheels not because I need them but "just in case" because I don't want to be without it. Cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone who has ever struggled with a steel or resigned themselves to living with / replacing blunt knives!
safe effective sharpener April 8, 2008 Ian Henry (woodthorpe england) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This sharpener is well designed and built. It's easy to use and sharpening takes just a few seconds. The instructions recommend "little and often." Sure enough the results are superbly sharp steels. You will soon be slicing veg like a pro; it's so much easier. Bugger I cut my finger and it still hurt.
Awesome April 22, 2008 Reg Thorne (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am rubbish at sharpening anything, tried a steel and a whetstone but I have absolutely no patience with that sort of thing. I do however like to use sharp knives and this sharpener is a godsend. I don't have expensive knives (actually have VERY cheap ones) but this tool brought an amazing edge to them. I would recommend this sharpener to anyone.
