good buy November 14, 2008 J. Batstone really like this microwave, It cooks a Small roast chicken crispy in 35mins with the combination oven. 2 Medium Jacket potatoes cook in 15min, skins nice and brown but not crispy, more like the jacket potatoes you would buy in a cafe. Good for saving energy, instead of using my big oven this is ideal for the 2 of us, I have baked scones and they were amazing also quiches etc. downside it can be noisy when using microwave and combination, but doesn't bother me. cookery book is only like a paper leaflet, would have been better hardback simply because there are some really nice recipies in there and if used frequently it will soon wear out or rip, plus when you first get your new microwave you are forever looking in the book for instructions. ovengloves a must to remove dishes from microwave when you have used the conventional oven, a teatowel not good enough, so easy to catch hands on the side of hot oven, because of lack of space compared to normal conventional oven, but I soon got the hang of it. this is really worth the money also it is easy to keep clean if you wipe it out when it is still warm. 10/10 for me
Very efficient August 24, 2008 vh1967 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
It does what it says on the tin and more: you can speed up conventional oven times by using a turbo function, which involves using both the conventional (not microwave bit) and the grill. This means about a third off conventional oven times and a lovely crispy top on your food eg pizzas or lasagne / cauliflower cheese all come out great. Most combi ovens only do microwave and or microwave and oven meaning you cannot put metal dishes in them so it is great and it is really fast. The chaos mode microwave defrost means bread is not heated up by using it as it is more even a defrost you use it for a shorter time so not dried out.
