Think Before You BuySeptember 18, 2007 Mrs. P. A. Haggar(Hants) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Whilst I consider Amazon's customer service to be excellent, I regret I cannot say the same for Pansonic. This combination microwave broke down after just 4 months. The front control panel had burnt out. I found a local Panasonic approved repair company and took the microwave in. They located the problem and fitted a new control panel. As it was a warranty repair, they could not release the microwave back to me until they had received approval of payment from Panasonic's warranty department. This took 10 days despite repeated phone calls from the repair company to Panasonic's Customer Care. In the end, the repair company gave me all the necessary job and warranty claim numbers plus the relevant telephone number. I called Panasonic customer care to be told "it's not our department that's holding it up - it's the warranty department". A few sharp words from me spurred customer care to move themselves and the warranty was approved in less than one hour. So think before you buy. Do you want an item that can break down inside 4 months and then have to chase the company to get the repair approved?
