Not bad for the moneyNovember 20, 2008 Keith Povall(Walsall UK) I bought one of these and was very pleased with it. I have to confess, that I don't use the talk option very often and so haven't had the sound device fall apart on me. It's a nice mug with a very menacing Dalek on it. I do find it amusing that there appears to be more grown up Dalek fans around than there are kids.

I ordered two of these mugs as gifts and both my Vicar (a Doctor Who fanatic) and my fiancee were delighted. Julia specifically intended to take the mug to work for important client meetings and I think the Reverend was going to visit aging parishioners well-armed. The only downside to the presents was the shared report of spilled coffee all over the blouse front or dog-collar when the mug was halfway to the lips and a loud "Exterminate!!" sounded.
Seriously, I thought the mugs a very good present and good quality for the novelty price. Most Doctor Who fans would be very pleased. Delivery and packing were both excellent.

I was very excited when I saw the effort BBC Enterprises had put into merchandising for the new Doctor Who series. I purchased one of these mugs and really enjoyed the different sounds, great design and robust feel of the product. Imagine my disappointment, when after a dozen or so uses the insert containing the sound chip dropped out leaving just a mug! There was dried glue on the chip casing which had obviously failed. When I contacted the manufacturers I was told that "they always come apart after a few uses"!!! A real kick in the teeth.
