Customer Reviews:
Nice surface; shame about the cheap quality base and frame August 28, 2008 Urban Gypsy (UK) Looking at the picture for this product it seemed safe to assume it was for the kind of high quality tray you find in the shops. In fact, whilst the actual body of the tray is attractive and nicely made, the frame around the edge and beanbag base are really cheap and nasty. The frame is some sort of flimsy laminated card type material with a very naff wood effect print on it, and the base is some very cheap nylon feel fabric with lightweight polystyrene balls inside, not decent heavyweight beanbag filling. So why give it three stars? Well, once I'd got over the dismay at how cheaply made it was compared to similar ones in the shop, I have to admit the actual image printed on the main body of the tray is attractively done and the tray is perfectly functional; it sits on your lap without sliding off and although the beans aren't heavy enough to properly mould to your lap, they do a good enough job to make it easier to balance than a straight forward tray. Worth buying but only if you're prepared for the fact this isn't as expensive or attractive looking as the picture would lead you to hope.
