Good Value for Money March 5, 2006 80 out of 83 found this review helpful
I have been the owner of 3 Dysons now, and the only reason i have replaced the current one with the Origin is because the cost of getting the old one repaired was nearly as much as what I paid for the Origin. I have been extremely pleased as it does the job expected of it very well. Yes, it is slightly heavy but all nearly all upright Dysons are. I use it on carpets and on on my kitchen floor which is covered with lino. I know it is not designed to be used on hard surfaces but it actually does a good job at picking up grime. It has not the got the thrills that other Dyson models have but for the price, I feel it is excellent value for money.

We replaced a Dyson DC01 with this as it seems very good value. I think it is a good upgrade from the old one with better filters and tools storage. The suction is excellent and the tools work well, even removing dog hair from the carpet. The only down side is that it is fairly bulky.

Compared to the DC01 this machine is so powerful - it filled up with muck so quickly after I had just done it with the DC01. However - it's so powerful that it is hard to push on shorter pile carpets. Bargain at the moment - much better value than the DC14
Now I am actually cleaning my home ! October 20, 2007 Paul Madge (West Sussex UK) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
The DC07 vacuum cleaner has reduced in price to a level that makes it more affordable, and this entry level model shares the same suction power as other models in the Dyson range (even those costing much more). The cleaning power is amazing and despite having vacuumed my house regularly in the past the amount of dirt this cleaner has lifted is incredible (almost to the point of embarassment). Also, the carpet pile feels so much nicer after it has been cleaned by the DC07 - it is somehow softer underfoot. In terms of setup and ergonomics it is fine, yes, it is a little heavy but no more so than other cleaners I have used. Also, despite the fact this is an upright model it incorporates the versatility of cylinder style vacuum too in that it has a flexible hose that cleverly forms part of the upright handle and which can easily be deployed to clean upholstery etc. It also comes with some tools for which there is storage on the cleaner. If your home has hard floors then I'd recommend you buy the Dyson hard floor tool (available from Amazon for around 20.00). The emptying of the dust collector is simplicity itself, as is removal of the washable lifetime filters. This is a well made, very good value for money product that performs superbly and is therefore unreservedly recommended - buy it with confidence.
Wow.... April 20, 2006 gentleman2012 (Oxford, UK) 33 out of 35 found this review helpful
I've just received my DC07 and I'm extremely impressed. I only vacuumed my house yesterday and after 15 minutes going over it again with the Dyson, the "bag"'s nearly full. I'm seeing my carpets in their original colour and the whole house seems to smell fresher. Versatile, with onboard tools too. Don't waste time on inferior machines, get yourself one of these!
