Does it all August 21, 2008 Robert Collman (S.E. England) 120 out of 121 found this review helpful
This iron has the features I wanted and some I didn't know I wanted. My last iron was heavy and I liked it, not having to press down. The bottom of this one is coated to make it glide easily which was not true with earlier irons. The turbo steam is really fierce which I think is a good thing. The ultracord seemed like a gimmick, but isn't - the cord doesn't bang my wrist and if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have to use it. The iron heats quickly, the cord is extra long, it's easy to fill and the base is very steady. I can't fault it.
It's a pleasure to do the ironing! February 19, 2009 B. Chamberlain (Midlands, UK) 29 out of 29 found this review helpful
I have been used to using a cordless iron and spent a lot of time trying to find a decent replacement without success. Nobody seems to sell these anymore!? Previous experiences of irons with cords was that it was difficult to prevent the cord dragging across the clothing and making further creases. Having read the reviews this iron sounded ideal - and it is. It's really easy to use - the most important feature is the cord stands up away from the iron by approx 3 inches which means that it doesn't drag across what you have ironed. The cord is nice and long also. If I had to find anything wrong with it it would be the width of the handle - for those of us that have small hands it is just a little too wide which can cause some discomfort around the thumb area if you are ironing for too long. I hate ironing but I have to say this iron has made it a pleasure rather than a chore.
Tefal Aquaspeed FV5260 Steam Iron. June 28, 2009 Mr. M. L. Turner 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
As a retired tailor, still making some of my own garments, i can honestly say that this is, by far, the best iron i have used for many years. First of all, i appreciate the extra weight of this model, then the large capacity and very easy access to water storage,it gives the desired degree of heat and a very efficient boost of extra steam when it's needed, also, it looks as though the sole plate will not easily stain. The test though is in the results, and from the word "go" creases were dealt with at the first "sweep", making the task of ironing that much easier and quicker, i only hope that it gives a long life,i am hoping to have use of this model for some years to come.

Excellent February 20, 2009 P. Henry (Buckinghamshire) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I bought this iron based on the fact that it was also a Which Best Buy and was most attractively priced on Amazon. I'm thrilled with it - the toughest test was ironing bone-dry, very creased, pure cotton shirts, which it did remarkably well. Best iron I've ever had! The only downside is that it is fairly heavy when filled with water, but that is totally offset by the excellent results. Well done, Tefal.
Fast denim... February 26, 2009 Mr. Michael S. Rhind (Glos. England) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
To quote my wife: This is easily the best iron we've had. It heats quickly and is lighter and more manageable than the Philips Elance we used previously, and extremely effective on jeans. Plus it seems to provide a more consistent and steady flow of steam than the Philips, despite holding less water when full. I asked her if the cord 'thingy' worked, and she says that she hasn't noticed. Which probably means it works very well.
