This was a life changing book for me! July 12, 2008 Mrs. N. J. Harris (Britain) 72 out of 72 found this review helpful
This book has not only shaved 60 off my shopping list each week but my very fussy children have eaten everything I have cooked which is nothing short of a miracle. I feel saintly that the food is all healthy, fresh and no food is wasted so its green too! I really loved the weekly menu planning because it simplify s my life and often one days left overs are used in tomorrow's menu. (Mr Brown would be proud as no food is wasted in our house!) We are on week three and for me its been a life changing experience. Do not dig your own grave with your knife and fork buy this book, save cash, eat healthily and cut out the e numbers! AMAZING May 26, 2008 J. Sinyor (London) 33 out of 33 found this review helpful
this is an incredibly good book for everyone; I'm a vegetarian but there were plenty of recipes for me anyway. A very good buy which I highly recommend.
Extremely useful book July 23, 2008 B. Davis 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
This is a great book for people who need to feed a family and are running low on inspiration. There are lots of dinner recipes in here (including a veggie section) and a selection of "quick fix meals" for when you are in a hurry. The book would be useful to a beginning cook because the recipes are very simple and not at all intimidating, but would also be useful to an experienced cook because of the sheer number of ideas. A more experienced cook could easily adapt the basic recipes with herbs and spices to make them a bit more sophisticated and exciting. I think this is a book that I'll be using a lot.
I can cook!!! May 22, 2008 Ms. H. Braid (England) 45 out of 46 found this review helpful
I have very little money, a tiny kitchen, a few saucepans (that have lost all their non-stick!) and no fancy gadgets, I don't even have a garlic press! So this book could have been written for my family. Its excellant, plenty of fantastic tips and no nonsence recipes that my boys loved and didn't leave behind a mountain of washing up! This is great book for anyone who already loves cooking, but especially for those who think its easier to shove some turkey twizzlers in the oven!
BUY IT!!! September 15, 2008 Melanie Phillips (uk) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
I very rarely write reviews about products, but I felt the need to for this book. In my opinion this book should be in EVERYONE'S kitchen. It has not only saved me money but it has improved my cooking skills. I like make everything from scratch, and thanks to this book it has helped me in this challenge. I can be 100% sure I know exactly what I'm eating - and this book makes it easy - and fast!!!
