Glad I bought thisMarch 21, 2008 MP(Manchester, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I haven't had any problems with this. It's made of steel and is quite sturdy. The holding arm arm works well and actually makes it easier to tear a piece of paper off the roll. You don't have that problem of accidentally unravelling loads of paper or dropping the roll and having to wind it backup leaving it looking like a complete mess. A very simple piece of kit - what you see is what you get. I'm glad I got it as it matches the other Typhoon products I've got and makes the kitchen look that little bit smarter. For a tenner you can't grumble.
Typhhon Red Kitchen Roll HolderJuly 30, 2008 Kadeshuk(Scotland) As stable, but not as stylish as the more expensive Typhoon Capsule. I had to return my first one as the right angled shoulders of the steel roll gripper were badly scratched. Mine is not the first review to comment on this range being damaged, so a possible quality control problem here. Also annoying is the statement indicating that it was damaged after receipt which was on Amazon's confirmation of return, though I did receive a replacement promptly. Neil Grant

Very disappointed with the product. The small chrome section at the top is damaged. and the metal bar that is supposed to hold the paper in place just doesn't do that. The roll ends up looking more untidy than having it on the kitchen counter. I like the colour but that is about it. I am sending it back.
