Product Description A cream ceramic bread bin with a wooden lid in beech. Inspired by her day-to-day experience in the kitchen, food writer Nigella Lawson's kitchenware collection is both stylish and practical. "These are objects I wanted passionately for my own kitchen - that's where the collection came from. I've really enjoyed having the chance to design my own collection, working through the ideas with Sebastian and seeing them come to life."

PERFECT BREADBIN July 27, 2006 A. Craig (London United Kingdom) 27 out of 27 found this review helpful
Reluctant though I am to add to Nigella's millions, I have to admit that this is the best bread-bin on the market. The lid doubles up as a cutting board, and it fits tightly enough for bread to last longer than usual. It's a pretty colour and a sensible shape, as you can fit two loaves in with ease. The price is ridiculous, but then having had three others all of which were hopeless I suppose it is worth it.
Perfect addition to my Kitchen September 25, 2006 Mr. G. Mottau (London United Kingdom) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Nigella certainly knows a thing or two about kitchens, this Bread bin is as beautiful as it is practical. At last I have a Bread bin which I can put a large uncut twist loaf into and know it will stay fresh, also the lid when turned on it's back is perfect, with the channel for crumbs around the outside edge. It might seem expensive but it is really good value.and I absolutely Love it!! Long may Nigella reign!! Gordon
at last - the perfect bread bin (at a price!).. June 28, 2008 Helen Sarah Morley (London, U.K.) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Hesitated about spending so much on a bread bin but absolutely delighted. Very roomy without taking up too much space - very attractive - and I love the fact that I no longer need a bread board lying around the kitchen. As you turn it over to cut the bread, the top does not get scratched and damaged so looks good after months of use - though it took some time to get the family to remember to turn it over each time!! The best thing is that I finally have a bread bin that is easy to clean out and doesn't leave breadcrumbs everywhere - all my previous hinged-lid ones have annoying gaps that crumbs love to escape through! Only problem is that I have a granite worktop and porcelain floor so have to be VERY careful not to let the bin slip, especially when lifting it to clean out - and it is quite heavy. Reluctantto add to N.L.'s millions but she has done it again and this is a superb product......Interesting that it took a woman to come up with the best design!
Lovely & huge! January 1, 2007 D. Britnell (Chesham, UK) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a beautiful, obviously expensive luxury which is truly huge. I am keen on my breadmaker (Panasonic 253, also from Amazon) and needed a bin to take 2 large loaves. This manages with room to spare for rolls. I agree with other reviewers that it is not 100% airtight but that does not bother me as I find bread sweats under such conditions. The lid is much to good to use as the suggested breadboard. I dread chipping the bin and handle it little and with care.
I'm loving it! November 8, 2007 C. Tripp (Manchester, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm loving my Nigella bread bin. I ummmed and ahhhed for a while over spending 50 on a bread bin. But I took the plunge on the basis that I can fit 2 loaves in it. I'm really pleased with it. It's so roomy and I can fit loads in, a loaf of bread, some crumpets, rolls etc. so it does exactly what I wanted. It's also takes up less room than you'd think as it's tall rather than wide. The lid hasn't warped yet but I don't think I'd mind if it did as I'm sure it'll still look pretty darn stylish in my kitchen.
