A vast yet good quality product January 12, 2006 G. Lewis (Wales, UK) 24 out of 25 found this review helpful
The Big Classis Metallic Grill is a considerable size, it feels sturdy and was clearly built to last. The buttons on the front for the timer and standby are reassuringly clunky and the cooking plates can easily accommodate enough meat for the average family.I've had mine for at least 18 months and it has never given me a moment of trouble. It heats up in 5 minutes, beeps when its ready and you can set the timer to remind you when a set time has passed. In the box you get a couple of drip trays and everything you need to get started. Can't fault it!

With a family of seven to feed, we needed a grill with plenty of room on it - and this is it. - The plates heat up evenly, meaning everything gets cooked properly at once. - Very easy to use. - Comes with a pretty comprehensive list of cooking times for a variety of foods. - Best of all - it's very easy to clean. I love my grill !! Great product. Highly recommend.
cooks to perfection August 15, 2005 W. Aitcheson (dudley midlands) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
my first grill had lost its coating so l bought this one of amazon, it is very very good it cooks bacon and sausage to perfection, also does sandwiches, l have tried chicken but they where a little to thick so outside cooked before inside, so if you follow the guidlines you cannot go wrong, please try and keep this grill in one place as it is not only heavy it gets very hot. it does get all the fat out believe me also it gets the salt out of bacon. the best thing l have bought for a while (excluding my digi camera)
Spring seduces, summer thrills, autumn sates, Foreman grills March 20, 2008 Peter Haydon (Moray, Scotland) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Is there anyone in the country who has never owned a George Foreman grill? Can't be. Many of us have had so many we can't remember the first one, which is another way of saying that they are not a long-life item. You won't be handing it down to later generations unless it's as a doorstop, which this is heavy enough to be. If used regularly the non-stick coating soon either vanishes or becomes ineffective, I cannot tell which is the case. Cleaning then becomes a real chore, and if not done rigorously gunge accumulates so that when it conks out altogether - and it will eventually - you're glad of the excuse to buy a new one. And I always do replace a dead George, simply because they work so well. There is no better way to enjoy a salmon steak than to let George cook it for 10 minutes. The top tip for cooking all fresh or frozen fish on a George is to let it sizzle until the skin lifts off easily, then whip it off quick or it will become too dry. Kippers are a tasty treat cooked by George, don't be impatient, wait until they are looking a little charred and you can lift the bones away. Edit: Let me stress I am talking about proper kippers, no those ghastly things in packets. We have cooked so many things on various Georges that I could not list them here. All sorts of foods, just chuck them on and they'll be fine, even if the packet instructions say oven cook only. The weight of George's lid does mean that thick but fragile items - we're talking chunky fishcakes here - will be squashed to twice their original diameter. Also, do not attempt to fry eggs on it, that is a noble experiment but doomed to failure. Back to this particular grill then, the maximum width of the cooking surface is 16.5 inches, the maximum depth 8 inches. This is enough for a complete meal for two, with meat or fish, potato wedges, tomatoes, some onion or WHY. That is major convenience, and it is why I recommend this product. I also recommend free standard carriage. Mine was ordered on a Saturday afternoon and delivered to my remote Scottish hideout on Wednesday morning, I'm happy with that.

Absolutely fantastic, don't know why we didn't get one earlier. So easy and quick to use. Cleaning is no problem. Food cooks to perfection. Big and sturdy enough to cook for the whole family. Definitely recommend anyone to buy this product.
