5 out of 5 stars Straight forward Grill   July 28, 2010

Excellent item, replaced out of date well used previous grill, great advantage being able to remove plates for cleaning, very simple to use and working your timing's with other items of food for meal time is ideal. Well worth while when at the correct price. Shop around and look hard it pays there are deals out there, some with Amazon but not all, but this was one of their better ones. We hope it last as long as previous ones that would be reasonable value for money.

3 out of 5 stars A must have?   July 21, 2010

Seems as though the whole world has one of these - so had to keep up with the rest of the planet - ok - but not overly impressed nor visibly thinner yet!

5 out of 5 stars Well I like it ...   July 7, 2010

Received it yesterday to replace a traditional model with non-removable plates, bought some sirloin steak to cook and couldn't wait to try it out. My previous model had to heat up for 5 mins prior to cooking but there wasn't a temperature guide so I love this versatility on the new model. The steaks were on for 9 minutes, we like ours medium well and they were perfect. The only criticism I would make is that they didn't have the 'griddle stripes' so they looked a little anaemic but they were cooked beautifully. The plates took about 2 minutes to wash up and it's back in the cupboard. If anybody has any doubts about buying this product because of the mixed reviews, I say go for it, it's well worth the investment.

This item is great. The George Foreman 12205 Entertaining Removable Plates Grill - Silver, 6 Portionfact that it has variable heat and that it has plates that go in the dish washer makes it great for family use. I loved my old george foreman grill but this one is even better.

5 out of 5 stars George Foreman grill with removable plates   May 10, 2010

I had a George Foreman before, it was smaller and did not have removable plates. But I really love using them because they are so quick, I recently purchased the entertaining grill, with removable plates. I think it is absolutely brill, I use it every day, it is so much easier to clean, and it is also great that the temperature is adjustable. It makes perfect sausages, burgers, chicken, steak, grilled veg, waffles and my kids love toasties, with - cream cheese, cheese & onion, cheese onion and ham & even jam,. I found I need the temp a bit higher to cook than the fixed plate. Sausages I cook at 185C for about 8 mins turning 3 times toasties at 215C for 2-3 mins. Generally things cook about under half what it say in the oven. Waffles take 15mins in oven, I can cook in about 6mins at 200C. They are usually cooked in less time than it takes to warm up the oven, from first switching on the machine!!
