5 out of 5 stars The One To Choose!   October 4, 2007

I had one of these for Christmas 2006 and it is great! You use normal expresso powder from the supermarket - I use decaf but there are lots to choose from. You put the milk on to heat first (by the way if you stir drinking chocolate into the milk before frothing you can make a fab hot chocolate) and it takes 4-5 minutes to heat through. While it is heating you put the coffee powder in the chamber and put the water in the top part, then press Go on that part. Then you froth the milk using the frother button on the right hand side and by then the coffee is done. Pour coffee and hot milk then spoon on the froth - perfect!
Washing up is fairly straightforward as it all comes apart quite easily. The only tiny snag I have noticed is that the milk from the frother drips and cooks on the hotplate below while you are pouring the hot milk out - a minor detail. All in all the froth is absolutely perfect and the machine is simple to use and produces a cappucino (expresso, latte, mocca-cino etc) which is easily as good if not better than a cafe-bought one - better in fact because you are in control both of the strength of the expresso and also the ratios of expresso to hot milk and froth which go in your cup. I have spent a fortune less on buying cappucino since Christmas! If you have space for this in your kitchen then I recommend you to go for this brand - I compared many different products before picking this one.

bought this just after xmas at 24.99 on amazon....noticed to price has gone back up to 39.99. This was a lucky buy!! well after a few practice runs to get the preferred strength ... it was delicious; would highly recommend; also i agree with past reviewer regarding the milk frother dripping not a big prob easy to clean after. Well worth the money

5 out of 5 stars A Good machine for the Money   January 26, 2008

In spite of previous reviews, we bought this coffee maker a couple of weeks ago and are really pleased with it. Yes, a lot of the machine is made from plastic but what do you expect for the money? If you read the instructions carefully and make sure that you place the coffee jug directly underneath where the coffee comes out it does not spit water everywhere. If you put the milk on before doing anything else, it is nicely heated and can be frothed when the coffee is ready. All in all a very nice cup of coffee, like the ones made in the shops and excellent value for money.

I gave my coffee machine to my mum when i moved but soon enough i felt the coffee crave again. I bought this machine and i have to say it is fantastic. The best coffee's i have had plus the frother is brilliant.

You cannot go wrong here, there is no need to spend hundreds when this contraption can do the job with ease!
