KURPS - Nescafe Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine December 7, 2006 J. Byrne (Merseyside) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
It has Gusto in its name because that's what its got!! You can get real expressed coffee results with the KURPS. Its clean and easy to use, your brewing HOT! fresh grounds in less than a minute. Although there aren't as many choices of drinks as the other brands of coffee makers. Hold on to you Creme layer, because in 2007 Nescafe plan on launching a new range of drinks. Including Hot Chocolate and surprisingly a range of cold drinks to. This is worth every penny, and I looked into nearly all the machines at this level before buying the KURPS - Nescafe. Very Happy!! with my purchase. Anyone for a Latte?
Brilliant Coffee Machine September 24, 2007 Mrs. C. L. Birch (UK) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Quick, easy to use and fabulous coffee! The pods are available at major supermarkets and it tastes just like if not better than the shop. I have used a number of machines over the years and this is the best!

Fantastic!! November 20, 2007 The Smith Family (sunderland) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Being new to the coffee machine market, we were baffled by what was out to buy. We saw the advert for the dolce gusto on T.V. and went to look at it in Asda. They had it on offer for 69!! However when we looked at it, the Tassimo was next to it which threw us completely. After much thought and investigation through the internet we decided to stick with our first choice of the gusto. We were not disappointed! So easy to prepare, great choice of coffees (to be fair we usually only drink normal or cappaccino) and ease of use. We produced 2 gorgeous looking coffees in seconds which looked fabulous in the free glass you get with the machine. You can pour as much or as little liquid as you want, and the machine is self cleaning, brilliant when you dont want to start taking the machine apart to clean it. We are now addicted to the machine and can't wait to try the hot chocolate. The capsules are easily available in Asda and you even get a free box when you register the machine with Krups. You will not be disapointed if you are looking for quick tasty coffee prepared easily and without fuss. I would reccommend to anyone. We have even nicknamed ours K-9.
Great Machine - Fantastic Value For Money January 19, 2008 Rodger Barnett (Essex UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this machine as a present for my 50th birthday. I did not do as much research on these things as normal, but the lady on the checkout at Debenhams said that because of the pressure that the machine produces (14 bar) - it was as close to a professional machine wrapped up in a domestic product as I was going to be able to afford. What's really good about it? 1. All of the drinks are simple to make and very quick and are hot. 2. The drinks really do taste very nice - from the Espresso through to the Latte and Cappucino. The kids love the Chocochino. The drinks really do taste like they have come from a fresh coffee shop. 3. It is very easy to clean and keep clean. Since it just takes a few minutes to wash everything, my wife uses it regularly, and it won't just get put in a cupboard or not get used. 4. Capsules are easy to obtain from any supermarket or via in the internet (currently 37p per milky coffee or 17.5p per black coffee (Lungo or Espresso). Disadvantages that I have seen: 1. The milk formula is a bit sugar loaded, which might make the drinks too sweet for some tastes. 2. The shape of the water containerdoes actually leave a dead spot which is difficult for water to drain from, so it does take a bit of effort to get rid of the surplus water. 3. Perhaps Nestle could expand the drinks range a bit more. I have not encountered any of the more significant problems that other users talk about - exploding capsules, liquid etc. Jon's review (earlier in the list) compares this with a Gaggia TS. This is a professional machine (price ~ 1300), so it is in a different league - even if the coffee is better. Gaggia machines are typically 2 to 3 times the price of the Gusto, so comparison does have to take this in to account. All in all we are very happy with this machine, and it certainly does deliver on what it promises.
