wonderful machine December 11, 2007 Mrs. F. Ramdenee (cheshire) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I love a good cappucino, especially one with a good head of froth on the top.I was looking for a machine that would do every thing at a touch of a button, but a lot of the good automatic machines are very expensive to buy. The latissima does everything it says it will, with 19 bar pressure , and 2 thermablocks ,it really is fantastic.the service with the nespresso club is also first class, you order the coffee capsules one day and they are with you the next day.no mess with coffee grains etc.when I turn the machine on each day I always flush both outlets out with the hot water first using the lungo button and then the hot water button before making any coffees , and I find the colder the milk the better it froths.
Excellent one touch system January 7, 2008 Mr. N. J. Fellows (Redditch, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Got this from Amazon the other week and have to say I'm really happy with it. Once programmed to the cup size it really is a press once and leave it system, and cleaning is dead easy - just one press. I'll be honest and say, as good as the Nespresso capsules are, they are not quite as good as freshly groud beans. But then you have the simplicity of clean capsules and no mess, so this far out weighs the other machines. To get a similar system that's one touch you'd be looking upwards of 700, so this is something of a bargain.
Mmm... Coffee January 7, 2008 Mummy J (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A fresh coffee at a touch of a button... and you can decide how much that touch pours because of the machines memory feature. The downside is the capsules aren't available in the supermarket and you have to spend on P+P each time you want to order more. However, 5* rating to the Nespresso Customer services otherwise. There are always new flavors introduced as limited edition, in case you get bored or want to try something different. Bigger and bulkier than I'd like - but then the pro's (can keep the milk in the container, and put the container into the fridge to use as and when needed. the milk in the jug remains cold while only the milk pumped through is heated - no mess) outweigh the cons. Dish washes beautifully.
great item April 23, 2008 coffee lover (Skopje, Macedonia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't normally write reviews but since I nearly didn't buy the machine because of the poor reviews I feel compleed to say what I think. The machine makes great HOT coffee - in fact hotter than the one I made with our old Magimix 150. I spoke to a Nespresso barista at Selfridges who suggested that you run a shot of lungo without a pod every morning followed by a shot of hot water (or press clean button on milk carafe for a few seconds). I do this now each morning and have no problems getting perfect coffee. And it only takes half a minute to do. My only comment is that the machine is more noisy than I would prefer. But I would definitely recommend it.
Second time lucky July 10, 2008 Matthew Cochrane (East Sussex U.K) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently bought this machine and was incredibly dissapointed. It produced, at best, luke warm coffe. I exchanged the machine for another just to be sure that it was just not a good coffe machine. My new one arrived yesterday and it is like a completely different model. ALL of the coffees are piping hot (and I'm known as cast iron guts, for how hot I drink my tea and coffee). So, if your machine produces luke warm coffee, it is faulty and needs exchanging, a fault that Delonghi are aware of.
