Value for money May 18, 2007 M. Giddings (Lincolnshire, England) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is my first food processor and I am very pleased with it. I did quite a bit of research first and following the advice to keep it out on the worktop, I have used it for something every day. It has taken the work out of grating, slicing and juicing citrus fruits and pastry is produced in seconds. A fantastic labour saving device. I have added extra parts: the julienne chipper is excellent, but it is a shame there isn't a size option in the way there is with grating and I also have the centrifugal juicing attachment which is a great disappointment. The chute is far to small, it produces little juice and lets pulp through to the juice so it often needs sieving before it can be drunk. All in all, it is a good value for money food processor.

I was pleased that Kenwood brought out the innovation of one base unit for liquidser and food processor, saves on space. What a disappointment.... The Kenstore facility gives the impression it stores the accesories, it only stores less than 1/3 of these! Something wrong with their trade description there, is this illegal? It comes with a juicer, citrus press grinding mill, most of which I would not use. These extra bits really do load up the extra accesories. Took me 3 hours to sort everything and read the instructions fully. I then discovered that the base for the liquidiser and the grinding mill were identical and whichever one I used, they both leaked on the liquidiser. This item is far too complicated for most people's needs. The finale...contacted Kenwood support helpline. They close 12.30 on Fridays until Monday morning. So then sent e mail which was ignored. Did eventually get to speak to human who said she would get back to me, never did. So finally e mailed chief executive and customer support again...10 days ago and no response. Just had full refund from shop. Kenwood don't appear to care about their reputation, or their customers any longer.
