excellent applicance March 22, 2006 85 out of 86 found this review helpful
i love this blender. it is reasonably quiet compared to other blenders i have used. the powerful 750 watt motor means it blends very efficiently and the quality of the glass jug is very high. it sits quite nicely on the counter without being very obtrusive because of the nice jug. cleaning the jug is easy, it has a detachable base containing the blades and a rubber seal, which also need to be cleaned. overall this product is very well designed and stylish with its anodised aluminium exterior. the 2 year guarantee is also re-assuring.
I highly recommend this product. December 7, 2006 Nicholas (Bucks) 37 out of 37 found this review helpful
This blender is a great piece of kit it functions well, it looks great and compare to other blenders I have tried, it is considerable more quiet and produces silky smoothies, purees or soups. As a bonus, the mesh filter turns the machine into a sort of juice extractor/ fruit and vegetable puree maker, so you can make small amounts of thick refreshing juice. ( but you do have to chop everything into small pieces first.) I would imagine this would also save the hassle of having the pass the soup through a sieve. (If your are into making extra fine cheffy soups.) It is a shame the manufactures write up does not do the product justice, however when you read the instruction manual, the true potential of this equipment becomes evident, when you find you can even make your own filtered Soya milk or fruit juice with this machine and more. (No recipe Book)
Highly recommended March 1, 2007 Freddie Mack (N Ireland) 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
I recently sold my Jack LeLanne's juicer as it was too bulky for the space I had in the kitchen and was on the look out for something smaller and neater. Well, this one fits the bill perfectly-in more ways than one. I was impressed by how good it looks and the fact that is is soooo easy to clean compared to the bulky juicer. This blender is fit for anything you want to blend, all fruit is transformed into the most delicious juice drink and, think of the benefits. I am not the best at eating whole fruit but it is so easy to drink it!! The machine itself is quiet, so easy to work, will crush ice, frozen fruit no problem. If you are thinking of buying a good blender, then this is the one, don't hesitate any longer. Buy it!!!!
Both powerfull and quiet, January 26, 2007 Mr. M. Dunn (Nottingham) 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
When looking for a blender, i read many reviews and tried to check out as many as possible in stores from cheap to 110+. This blender ticked all the neccessary boxes for use, easy to clean, powerfull 750w motor, has variable speed or you can use the 3 buttons (fast, pulse and ice). Its a nice looking piece of kit so i ordered the toaster that matches, (there is also juicer and kettles). I found it easy to make very creamy smoothies and my wife is making lots of soups with excellent blending performance. Build quality is very good and will last much longer than the 25- 30 blenders i looked at and has a glass jar instead of cheap plastic. Gripes- well, it comes with no recipe book which you would expect when paying 60plus, and i found the filter had to have the fruit or veg chopped up v_small, and limited the amount you could put in. Overall i would reccommend this over kitchen aid 5ksb or L'equip. I would have liked the Waring but could not justify paying 150 for a Blender. This was an excellent buy and i am happy with my purchase.
Blender AND Juicer January 1, 2008 A. Foley (Kent United Kingdom) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Top quality product from phillips, well made, even better design. Glass beaker off which the bottom unscrews makes easy cleaning. Can be started at low speeds avoiding mess and has unobtrusive rubber suction feet so low vibration from what is a very powerful motor. Juiceing attachment is genius,it produces orange juice of equal quality to centrefugal machines with only a little more waste, pulp is puree rather than dry,and smoothis are easy. Its so easy to clean we use it every day, something we never did with a juicer before.
