5 out of 5 stars Excellent quality at a great price   November 1, 2004

I highly recommend the James Martin blender by Wahl. It really is good value for money and excellent quality, very sturdy with stainless steel blades and a glass jug. It is great at blending smoothies, soups, dips etc and crushes ice quickly and easily. It is also easy to clean. If you are looking for a good quality blender at a reasonable price that is designed well this is the one for you.

I bought this blender rather than the Breville mainly because of the ease of cleaning it. So I was not disappointed. It is easy to clean and, better still, it blends evrything I need in general family cooking to my full satisfaction.

I would also suggest that James Martin would not put his name to a dodgy product, so I have to admit this was also one of my reasons for buying this machine.

1 out of 5 stars The blades on the blender go round and round.....   April 30, 2008

I bought this blender because it got excellent reviews (allbeit only 3 of them)and it was reasonably priced. However when I placed 2 chopped apples in it and hit the button the apple bits jumped up, fell down and nothing else happened apart from a helluva lot of noise. I thought to myself maybe chopped apples aren't this things strong point, so given that the box it came in boasted of its ability with ice cubes, I dumped my chopped apples and popped in a few ice cubes. When I hit the button the ice cubes jumped up, fell down and nothing else happened apart from a helluva lot of noise and a sense of deja vu.

This thing couldn't blend pish :o(

1 out of 5 stars unlucky?   July 30, 2008

unfortunately nothing but problems for me.the second time i used it a plastic part that should have remained on the unit came away with the glass bowl.had a terrible job replacing it in order for the blender to work again(had to use blue tac!!) worked ok for short time and then one day while unscrewing a full glass bowl, the bottom part with the blades remained fixed on the unit causing the contents to spill all over the kitchen.what a mess!! off to buy another model,..i suppose i could just have been unlucky.
